Nehyldrite is a long-time worldbuilding project made by Pastalotl. It is planned to take form as several installments of turn-based RPGs, which provide a window into some of the adventures in the world. There is currently one demo version for the first planned version, Nehyldrite: Rescindment.
The story focuses on a multitude characters, usually grouped together, from different backgrounds, cultures, species and worlds altogether. Some of these key characters are playable - forming members of your party, but others are not controlled by the the player.
Nehyldrite: Rescindment is the name of the first planned game. It is a turn-based RPG, where you control a party of three different characters and set off on a quest to return home.
Your journey will start in the parish of Clestuard, a small part of a kingdom nestled high in the hills. It is here that you will encounter people in the same predicament as you - these will be your party members. With your team, you will scour Clestuard for any way to return back home: be this through building positive relations with the locals, clearing out dungeons full of malice or exploring for hidden secrets that were lost. Together, you may find a way to leave this land, unfamiliar to you all.
Nehyldrite: Rescindment currently has a proof-of-concept/demo version, released online - Shrouded Temple! In the game, you bring a party of three and descend into the depths of the Shrouded Temple - a darkened spire, perpetually cloaked in shade, nestled on the steep flank of Mount Feshfen. With your party, you can battle your way through the cold, stone halls and make it to the bottom of the dealings of the Shrouded Temple.
As of now, Shrouded Temple is playable, however many features and actions have not been created or implemented. These include certain characters' actions, non-player-character turn-taking, organic triggers for combat, inventory system, dialogue and much more. You can, however, use the majority of the characters' actions, enjoy the ambience of the Temple's soundtrack - made by Rufus Renty, and explore the general layout of the temple - you may need to break a pot (or a person) on your way through!
